Dr Jacques Hui Bon Hoa presented an 8-page article on this subject, m e n t i o n i n g 15 homoeopathic medicines. Although he does not quote any cases from his own experience, it is a valuable additional source of information for reference. Obituaries There are 2 obituary tributes: to Dr Alva B e n j a m i n and to Dr L a d y Stokes. Dr Benjamin was one of the founders of the I n t e r n a t i o n a l H o m o e o p a t h i c League, so enjoyed an international reputation, and was prominent in the affairs of the Faculty. Lady Stokes did a lot of work at the Royal London H o m o e o p a t h i c H o s p i t a l and was m u c h admired by her colleagues.
Lilium tigrinum, Natrum muriaticum and Sepia Dr Blackie read this lecture to a meeting of the Faculty in 1974 comparing and contrasting these 3 homeopathic medicines. It occupies 9 pages and is full of detail and interest.
Repertorizing cards
Sulphur
This is a 9-page paper by Dr R. A. F. Jack in which he mentioned his difficulties in using Kent's Repertory, and his experience of several collections of repertorizing cards, beginning with Boenninghausen's huge collection of more than 2,000 cards, which was simplified by Dr Jiminez to 552 cards, each printed with 480 little squares, with the relevant squares p u n c h e d out. Then c a m e Dr Brousallion's version, of 1861 cards. Dr Jack shows how he selected the medicine for 1 patient, in great detail, with success, and with a 9 month follow up, without relapse. How much easier it is nowadays to find the well-indicated medicine with the help of
Dr T w e n t y m a n g a v e this lecture at an I n t e n s i v e P o s t g r a d u a t e C o u r s e in 1974, beginning with a fascinating description of the Solfatara volcano near Amalfi, then giving a detailed account of the element sulphur including the different forms of the element, and its chemistry, and ending with 2 pages of the homoeopathic indications for it. This, like so many of his lectures, was recorded on tape. (It would be interesting to know how many times the tapes of his lectures, and the tapes of o t h e r l e c t u r e r s such as Dr M a r g e r y Blackie, have been borrowed or bought.)
