Annual Scientific Forum CCTMC offers an annual Scientific Forum sponsored by AMPA, ASTNA, and IAFCCP. Original research abstracts are presented in poster form and judged by a panel of critical care transport experts. An Outstanding Research Award is given to the best entry. The Scientific Forum is widely known as the place to see the best of research in air and ground medical transport.

Preconference Highlights Come early and add to your knowledge and professional expertise. The following pre-conference events will be held prior to the start of the conference: • The annual Critical Care Procedural Anatomy Program will be offered on Sunday, April 19. This program is very popular and the course fills fast! Attendees can expect didactic sessions to include topics on emergency airway January-February 2015

management, surgical airway management, chest tube insertion and management and pericardiocentesis, ventilation assessment and ventilator management, intraosseous vascular access, and more. A procedure lab will be provided for participants to practice the techniques they have discussed during the lecture session. • Back again! A half-day Ultrasound Workshop will be given on Monday, April 20, prior to the start of CCTMC. Don’t miss this opportunity! Learn how ultrasound can improve your patient care outcomes. Space is limited. • ASTNA and IAFCCP will offer a Critical Care Transport Certification Review Course (TraCER) on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18. • The Board for Critical Care Transport Paramedic Certification (BCCTPC) will be offering the FP-C® and CCP-C® Exams on Sunday morning, April 19. • The CEN®, CFRN®, and CTRN® exams will be given on Sunday, April 19, by the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing with required minimum registrations. • The Third Annual 5k run/walk Running with an Angel will be held on Monday morning, April 20. Help ASTNA honor our fallen colleagues and support their loved ones. • At the Tim Hynes Foundation Golf Outing, join friends and colleagues for a great day of golf at one of Charlotte’s premier courses.
