PLAN TO ATTEND! 3rd INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON HYDROGEN AND MATERIALS
7-11 June 1982 Paris, France
Introduction The First International Congress was held in Paris during 1972 and focused on the effects of lhydrogen in metals. The Second International Congress followed in 1977 reporting the advances on this same topic. The Third International Congress will extend the main aims to materials in an effort to deepen the basic knowledge on the effects of hydrogen in materials and to transfer the "know how" by setting industrial problems and proposing current solutions.
Program format The congress will deal with the following topics: HYDROGEN-MATERIALS INTERACTIONS State and localization of hydrogen in materials Hydrogen and materials surfaces Bonding: metal-covalent-ion with hydrogen Hydrogen-defects interactions: trapping
Mechanisms of introduction, diffusion and desorption: isotopic effects Measurements and contects
INFLUENCE OF HYDROGEN ON PROPERTIES OF MATERIALS Physical properties Fatigue Mechanical properties Synergetic effects Embrittlement INDUSTRIAL IMPLICATIONS Hydrogen production Storage
Transmission Uses and implications
