plied to each cell element in the same direction but the direction is opposite the gas flow of an adjacent cell element. In the improvement, preheating devices are provided next to the power generation part as a part of the fuel cell in the direction gases flow, in a manner such that both incoming and outgoing gases pass through the preheating device. The preheating device includes a plurality of heat exchange promoting elements in the form of projections provided on both faces of the separator plate.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR EXTRACTING FOCUSED SOLAR RADIANT ENERGY Erwin Lenz There is provided an electricity generating system comprising two fluid circuits. The two circuits are in heat exchange relationship, one with the other. The first fluid circuit is in fluid flow connection with the solar heat collecting apparatus rotatable about both the horizontal and vertical axes, and capable of being driven by drive means for rotating the panel about the two axes. The second fluid circuit is in heat exchange relationship with the first fluid circuit such that the fluid in the second circuit is heated to its boiling point by the fluid in the first circuit. Electric generating means are in fluid flow connection within the second circuit to convert heat energy into electricity.

A geothermal heat- and water supply plant comprises a geothermal well to remove brine which communicates with a separator which, in turn, communicates in the steam phase with a jet pump and a high pressure stage of an injector, and in the fluid phase-with the cooled side of a heat exchanger which communicates with the jet pump. Water is drawn from the injector outlet to water and heat supply systems, and once used therein, the water is fed to one inlet of the heat pump whose one outlet communicates with the injector high pressure stage. The other outlet of the heat pump communicates with the jet pump outlet, and the other outlet-with the well for pumping the brine.

FUEL CELL Shoji Shiozawa, Toru Shimizu, Yokohama, Japan assigned to Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Co Ltd A conventional fuel cell comprises a plurality of cell elements stacked via separator plates, each cell element comprising an electrolyte plate, and cathode and an anode which sandwich the electrolyte plate. A power generation part of the fuel cell is defined by the electrolyte plate, cathode and an anode. Oxidizing gas and fuel gas are sup453
