cine is selected by a process which comprises isolating candidate influenza viruses in embryonated hens' eggs, determining whether they have antigenic similarities to strains which are the same except that they have been isolated and grown exclusively in animal cells, that is to say whether they are cell-like, and selecting at least one such cell-like strain or a reassortant thereof having its HA and NA genes for the vaccine.

5162223 HYBRIDOMAS AND RESULTING MONOCLONAL ANTIBODIES DIRECTED AGAINST ANTIGENS OF BORDETELLA PERTUSSIS Michael J Brennan, Charles R Manclark, Zhong Ming Li assigned to The United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Resources A panel of monoclonal antibody (Mab) producing hybridomas directed against various antigens of Bordetella pertussis are disclosed herein. The hybridomas and the antigens that the resulting monoclonals are directed against include: (1) BPGIOF8C3 and BPEgD8BIlipooligosaccharide A (LOS A), serotype 1; (2) BPD5, BPE6, and BPF2-fimbriae, serotype 2; (3) BPE3, BPE8 and BPD8-69 kDa nonfimbrial protein, serotype 3; and (4) BPB7, BPCI0, BPD4, BPD6, BPD9, and BPF5-fimbriae, serotype 6.
5162224 MONOCLONAL ANTIBODIES SPECIFIC FOR B CELLS AND HTLV-I TRANSFORMED T CELLS
Monoclonal antibodies to prostatic cells, are produced by a hybridoma formed by fusing mouse lymphocytes and mouse myeloma cells. The monoclonal antibodies show specificity for a non-soluble, membrane associated, organ specific antigenic determinant limited in its distribution to normal and neoplastic, human prostate epithelial cells. The monoclonal antibodies, specifically 7E11-C5 monoclonal antibodies, may be suitable for diagnostic uses.
5162512 AMINE DERIVATIVES OF ANTHRACYCLINE ANTIBODIES H Dalton King, Anthony D Lopes, Robert D Radcliffe, John Rodwell, Daniel J Coughlin assigned to Cytogen Corporation Novel antineoplastic amine-containing derivatives and methods for synthesizing such derivatives of anthracycline antibiotics are disclosed. The derivatives are useful to anthracycline antibiotic conjugates which retain substantial immunospecificity of the unconjugated antibody molecule. Using the conjugates, targeted delivery of the attached antibiotics is-achieved in vivo. Such conjugates are thus therapeutically effective against a variety of neoplastic cellular disorders when administered in vivo. Methods for preparing the antibody conjugates and for use of the conjugates in vivo are also disclosed.

The present invention relates to a monoclonal antibody-and to the hybridoma that produces itspecific for a surface antigen of activated B cells and T cells transformed by the virus HTLV-I. The hybridoma has been deposited with the European Collection of Annimal Cell Cultures (ECACC) under the number 88062301.
