The gross characteristics of mixed metal-dielectric composites are described, and some simplistic models are presented to account for certain aspects of their behavior. These R E S I S T R E T S tm exhibit non-volatile resistive memory states with on-off impedance ratios as high as 107: |, and submicrosecond response to switching signals.
