On behalf of the Polymer Division of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute, I would like to congratulate Professor Otto Vogl on the occasion of his 65th Birthday and the conference being held in New York in his honour. Otto Vogl has contributed greatly to increasing the recognition of Australian polymer scientists in America through his position for many years as Chair of the International Relations Committee of the Division of Polymer Chemistry of the American Chemical Society. He is well known and respected in Australia by the many polymer scientists who have met him during polymer conferences in Australia, in the U.S.A. and in other countries.
