Unfortunately, the editor forwarded the first version of our paper to the printer and not the corrected version. Due to this, several changes were not printed. We regret the fact that we did not notice the exchange while correcting the galley proofs. The most important changes are listed below: (1) M.E. Rudin recently constructed yet another order-homogeneous non-reversible ordered continuum. (2) S. TodorEeviC informed us that a set with similar properties as in our Example 2.3 was constructed by Baumgartner in his thesis, Berkeley, 1970. (3) The first paper that seems fully relevant to our paper is not, according to S. TodorEeviC: K. Kuratowski, Sur la puissance de l’ensemble des ‘nombres de dimension’ de M. Frechet, Fund. Math. 34 (1925) 201-208; but: W. Sierpinski, Sur un probleme concernant les types de dimensions, Fund. Math. 19 (1932) 65-71. We agree with this opinion.
