Taxa added to the British List since 1968 In this list a dagger preceding the name indicates a species normally found on the bark of living trees and detected in moist chamber culture. Following the name is a reference to a modern description of the species, including these abbreviations: MA - Martin & Alexopoulos, 1969; N - Nannenga-Brernekamp , 1974; M - Mitchell, 1980. Then follow details of the first known British gathering - the letters BMSF indicate that the species was added to the List during a British Mycological Society Foray. It is significant that of the 66 species in this list, 36 were added as a result of the increasing use of moist chamber culture of bark. tEchinostelium brooksii Whitney (Whitney, 1980) Bayham Abbey, W. Deletions from the British List Two species listed as British in the first edition of the catalogue do not appear in the second. Lamproderma carestiae - the records for vc 17 and 37 have been re-determined as L. arcyrioides and the records for vc 89 and 90 have been referred to L. sauteri. The Clova specimen (90) was thought to be sauteri by G. Lister after publication of Lister (1925) as her notebooks show. Lamproderma cribrarioides from Aberdeen was re-determined as L. atrosporum - a decision shared by Miss Lister, as her notebooks show. Acknowledgements The records listed in this revised catalogue include contributions from several mycologists and it is a pleasure to thank them for their continued help: S. Carter, C.L. Bibliography The list that follows brings the bibliography in the first edition up to date. As well as British Mycological Society foray reports and published accounts relevant to the British myxomycete flora which are listed below, a careful study has been made of the Lister Notebooks (which are housed in the Cryptogamic Herbarium, British Museum) and these have proved a fruitful source of unpublished records.
