metal-ceramic courses on Vita, porcelain and milling techniques courses of Degussa are among the past education courses. A significant past course of the Association is the course given by Dr Harold W. Preiskel named “From Bonwill, … To Brånemark Restoration of Mutilated Dentition,” organized by the Ankara Division of the Association. Future courses are planned to introduce different implantology technologies, together with hands-on courses. Another planned course of the association is about the build-up techniques of porcelain and how to achieve the desired cosmetic effects, a subject of concern of both dentists and dental technicians. Further conferences are to be planned in collaboration with the dental faculties of the other universities in Istanbul. One of the other distinguishing future plans of the Turkish Prosthodontic and Implantology Association is the 13th Scientific Meeting of the Association, which is planned to be held as a joint conference with

the European Prosthodontic Association in September 2004. Officers of the Association have already began their interviews and for the arrangements regarding the exact date, place and duration of the conference.
