Aging of energy production and distribution systems Workshop Sponsored by Department of Energy Rice University, Houston, TX October 11-13, 1992
Under the sponsorship of the Department of Energy, a workshop on "Aging of energy production and distribution systems" will be held at Rice University on October 11-13, 1992. The workshop will have an industrial component addressing fossil fuel plants, nuclear power plants, offshore platforms, and distribution systems. It will also have a theoretical component addressing issues involving material behavior, structural behavior, inspection-monitoring techniques, and assessment procedures. It is hoped that the workshop will bring together participants from
academia and energy-related industries for a fruitful interaction with regards to the current and expected issues of this important economic and technical area. Several keynote lectures will be delivered. Sohae financial support for potential participants who do not have access to other funds is anticipated. Potential participants in the workshop, which will have a minimal registration fee, should contact Michael M. Carroll or Pol D. Spanos, School of Engineering, Rice University, P.O. Box 1892, Houston, Texas 77251, by August 31, 1992.
