Conference Showcase Airtech Advanced Materials Group Airtech presents innovative products and services at Composites Europe 2016.

and production environment. The unique design provides durability, flexibility, and reliability. Benefits: Safer vacuum for part curing with heavy duty metal hose construction. More temperature resistance and longer in service life. Outer steel armor jacket provides durability and hose protection.

Airdraw 2 – widest compaction film up to 3.98 m (15700 ) wide Airdraw 2 vacuum bagging film is embossed with a ‘‘cracked ice’’ pattern which allows for rapid air removal when placed under vacuum. The film has been formulated to provide increased stiffness to assist in maintaining a breathable pattern. Airdraw 2 is not affected by environmental conditions and will not soften in high humidity, allowing superior breathability. It is designed primarily for ply compaction with the added benefits of not requiring a breather. It is embossed from one side of the film; under close examination the film has a flat side and a raised side. The outer surface of the roll is the raised side. For best results, place the raised side against the part surface on top of a perforated release film. Benefits: Embossed pattern provides network of air passageways, eliminating need for separate layer of breather. Improved stiffer formula keeps air path open resulting in better vacuum levels, faster. Wide width up to 3.98 m (15700 ) makes compacting large parts even faster with no seams required.

more comfortably, so even pressure can be applied into sharp corners easily with reduced operator fatigue. These products are manufactured from abrasion resistant non-contaminating UHMW PE and nylon. Benefits: Apply even pressure accurately to tight corners to eliminating fabric bridging and avoid part rework. Handle design applies palm pressure, reducing finger fatigue Non-contaminating material avoids FOD in layups.

BBH 1080 – vacuum hose for high temperature application up to 482 8C Airtech’s BBH 1080 is a durable high temperature and high pressure autoclave hose. The hose construction consists of an inner flexible stainless steel conduit overwrapped with a stainless steel braid. A stainless steel armor jacket covers the hose and protects it from the harsh autoclave

Airflow 100 Armor Sleeve Airflow 100 Armor Sleeve is a durable high temperature and high pressure autoclave vacuum hose. The hose construction features an outer steel armor jacket protecting the braided steel which holds a PTFE inner tube supported by a flexible steel spring conduit. This unique design prevents collapse from vacuum or autoclave pressures. It is also available with a 908 fixed end fitting on one or both ends. Benefits: Safer vacuum means better bag pressure for high quality parts. More temperature resistance and longer service life. Join the Airtech booth G 23 in Pavilion 8A at Composites Europe exhibition for more details and to attend our technical demonstrations. Airtech will make live demonstrations to present a complete vacuum bagging lay-up with innovative auxiliary materials used for resin infusion process. In the demo Airtech will show process possibilities to infuse hollow structures in out-of-autoclave processing in combination with pressure intensifiers
