FOR IMMUNOPHARMACOLOGY
The International Society for Immunopharmacology (ISIP) was established in 1980 at the time of the First International Conference on Immunopharmacology held in Brighton, U.K. ISIP has been officially recognized in 1983 as affiliate society by the International Union of Immunological Societies. On behalf of the Executive Council, we now invite you to join ISIP whose aims and functions are summarized below. Aims andfunctions To encourage international co-ordination and free exchange of ideas in immunopharmacology and immunotoxicology. To promote co-operation between scientists representing immunopharmacology and related disciplines throughout the world. To foster programmes for the training and continuing education of immunopharmacologists. To sponsor international and regional congresses, meetings, symposia and conferences and help in their organisation by establishing an advisory committee. To co-operate with other international organisations. To establish committees for special subjects or objectives. To observe the basic policy of political non-discrimination and affirm the rights of immunopharmacologists from any country to adhere to, or associate with, international activity in the field of immunopharmacology, without regard to race, religion or political philosophy. To enter into relations with other scientific organisations and, in general, develop any activity that seems helpful to the promotion of its declared objectives. Class of membership Member. Affiliate Membership students up to 5 years after the award of PhD, MD, or equivalent degree or not older than 32 years. Annual subscription Member $90 Affiliate $63 Membership includes (1) Active participation in the functions of the Society. (2) Reduced registration fees to conferences organised or sponsored by the Society. (3) Annual subscription to the International Journal of Zmmunopharmacology, the official journal of ISIP.
