The 1997 AFS annual meeting will run from Tuesday April 29 and until Friday May 2, and is this year being held at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The conference is being co-chaired by Dr Bob Baumann (Bolton & Menk) on the solid/ liquid side, and Mr Lloyd Weisert (Donaldson Company) on the solid/gas side. The tentative program is available, with sessions on automotive engine intake filtration for wear protection, automotive cabin air particulate filtration, industrial process and gas turbine filtration, filter media for air, filter media for liquids, filtration theory for liquids, industrial liquid filtration, advances in filtration at the University of Minnesota, membrane applications in water treatment, advances in filter media for automotive engine and cabin air, air filtration theory, drinking water filtration, membrane applications in waste water treatment, test developments for automotive engine and cabin air filters, fluid mechanics in filtration, drinking water treatment, solidlliquid separation, designing robust automotive filtration systems, liquid filtration, waste water physical processes, automotive cabin air odourlcombination filtration, filtration media tests, waste water biological processes, membrane filtration, waste water sludge dewatering, automotive liquid filtration, experimental aspects of air filtration, filtration test standards, medical media, pharmaceuticals solid/liquid separation practices, beer and wine filtration, indoor air quality, and precoat filter media.
