May is A FD E Month and with it comes the oppor tunity for members o f the dental health team to help the American Fund for Dental Education keep up its vital work. The Fund has now invested nearly $3 million in support o f the nation’s dental schools and related educational activities. Recog nizing the importance o f its many programs, near ly 15,000 organizations and individuals gave to the Fund in 1967. Your 1968 contribution to the A FD E will serve each o f the nation’s dental schools and the thousands o f students studying for careers in dentistry. The Fund has had substantial growth.

To help them do this, th e AFDE awards frequent $1,000 “ across-the-board” g rants to each school and supports education research programs o f th e American Association o f Dental Schools.

Every year, th e Fund awards 12 fe llo w sh ip s to enable graduate dentists to take add itio na l study to q u a lify foi teaching.
