This, in my opinion, is the best treatise on esthetics for the anterior segment that I have read. It is a practical approach that is geared for the general dentist. It is also sufficiently comprehensive that all restorative dentists would find it interesting reading. Tissue retraction and temporary restorations are described. This phase of dentistry has been sadly omitted from most “good” textbooks. It is gratifying to see that these topics are included in this book. It is a practical, straightforward, well written volume that should find good acceptance. K. W. FRITTS, D.D.S., M.S. MEIXCAL
