Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infections Foundation Course on Hospital Infection Control 25e27 January 2017 Public Health England, Colindale, London NW9 5EQ, UK

Suitable for medical trainees, newly appointed consultants and other practitioners, such as nurses and clinical scientists. The course will provide guidance on: e developing a sound approach to the prevention and control of healthcare associated infections and e e e e e

related issues of antimicrobial resistance surveillance programmes, including data collection, analysis and feedback managing outbreaks: with emphasis on investigation and data analysis the use of molecular typing techniques for outbreak investigation technical aspects of hospital hygiene, e.g. ventilation, disinfection, and sterilization understanding the basis of antimicrobial stewardship

A networking dinner is arranged on the first evening to allow delegates to meet and discuss the course content with speakers and fellow delegates.

Costs The cost of the course is £500 and members of HIS are entitled to a 10% discount. There is also a charge of £10 per head for the networking dinner.
