The CED funding will enable Hardy Filtration to launch a commercialisation strategy aimed primarily at the US and United Arab Emirates markets. It will also allow the company to acquire equipment such as an additional production line for pleated filters, to help increase its productivity and its production capacity. The Washington, UK-headquartered family run business has already established successful divisions in Australia and the USA and exports almost 90% of its output to more than 60 countries. Dr Simon Bartram, who has worked with Walker Filtration for five years, will head up the Japanese office as business unit leader. The company says that his knowledge of the compressed air industry and specifically product development makes him ideally placed to lead the division to success. “We are excited to be continuing to expand our global horizons with the opening of a new division in Yokohama, Japan.
