Serfilco’s newly developed coalescing elements (liquid-liquid separation) are constructed of nylon. polypropylene, or glass fiber. Separation of oil and water or other immiscible fluids is accomplished through coalescing and gravity separation. The mixture is pumped through the coalescing element, which holds the small droplets until they grow large enough to shear off. As oil rises to the top, water drops

to the bottom and accumulated minor phase is periodically bled off. The coalescing element normally has an indefinite life and is replaced only when it becomes plugged with solid particles. A prefilter is utilized to remove particulate from the process liquid. thereby improving the efficiency and extendmg the life of the coalescing element. Standard systems, with or without prefilter, offer flow rates to 25
with variable temperature and humidity controls. The line includes the Bolton-plug-in Automation System COW sisting of an automatic walking arm assembly.
