Europump’s small and medium companies meet
The SME networking commission of Europump met early in April at DP-Pumps in The Netherlands. The SME commission represents the interests of small and medium sized enterprises within the Europump membership. During the meeting, attended by 28 directors of pump companies from eight countries, plans were made for better cooperation between the companies to strengthen their competitive position relative to the major multinationals. Exchange of products and/or technical knowledge, benchmarking and joint purchase initiatives were among the subjects identified as being of interest. However, the essential precursor to these activities is the establishment of a successful network. The next meeting will take place at the Europump General Assembly in Copenhagen,June 3-5.
