MR Semicon system to MIA-Com MR Semicon, Melbourn, Herts, UK, has sold an MR15/25 High Pressure LEC Crystal Growth System to M/A-Corn, Inc., Semiconductor Division, Lowell, MA, USA. The MR15/25 is a fully computerized Czochralski production system. Initial production will utilize a 15kg charge with 4" diameter crystals yielding over 250 wafers per run. The 25kg configuration will have a 6" wafer capability of over 230 wafers per run of 500 wafers at 4" diameter. This unit will be delivered in November 1991, and will be the first such system in the USA. We would like to draw readers attention to a news hem which appeared in our June 199I issue entitled "Crystal Support for Pullers in USA". Roger Waldock of MR Semicon Inc. would like to point out that: "Since MR Semicon's acquisition of Cambridge Instruments' Puller and MOVPE product line in July 1989, we have been responsible for the service and support of all related

It has now expanded to supply Xray characterisation equipment to high tech companies. Waite said: "We are absolutely delighted to win these awards. They are attribute to our highly skilled and committed workforce and all our efforts to stay at the forefront of research and development". The award for technological achievement is based on innovations in product technology which have been commercially successful. Bede is continually developing its instrument range and has produced six world firsts in its specialist field. One of the company's major breakthroughs was the Q C I diffractometer, for the routine analysis of semiconductor materials used in high tech industries. This was the first desk top diffractometer able to be used for on-line quality control. The QC1 is now marketed by Bede in North America, and by Philips in the rest of the world. The Bede's Queen's award for export achievement recognizes the enormous growth in the company's sales overseas, in face of stiff competition from large multi-national companies. • Contact: Bede Scientific Instruments Ltd. equipment installed in the field. "While it is indeed flattering that third parties are offering service on our equipment, we have at this time no association with any of these companies. Furthermore, servicing of this equipment or the supply of spare parts by such companies may negate any warranties or certifications. This is particularly true of the pressure vessel and associated seals. All parts and services supplied by MR Semicon are certified under A.S.M.E. Section VIII of the Boiler & Pressure Vessels Code, making them eligible for most types of liability insurance." • Contact: US: Roger WaL dock. Tel: (914) 368 0113 / 0290. UK: Gary Dawis.
