BEST-ASSOCIATE-EDITOR

AWARD FOR 1993

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Scott A. Wood at the University of Idaho has won the Best-Associate-Editor Award for 1993. Dr. Wood merits this distinction by handling each of twelve manuscripts in 90 days or less for an average of 43 days per manuscript. However, Dr. Wood is not only efficient in handling manuscripts, he has also distinguished himself by the careful guidance he provided authors when returning reviews of their manuscripts. Dr. Wood will receive a check for $1000.00 and a framed certificate to be presented at the Geochemical Society luncheon at the GSA meeting in Seattle, Washington, USA, in October of this year. The competition for the Best-Associate-Editor was a close one because we have an excellent group of Associate Editors whose wide-ranging expertise allows us to make thorough evaluations of the manuscripts we receive. Therefore, we identify three runners up who came in right behind the winner. Dr. Eric Y. Reardon University of Waterloo
