Abstract:

In this work dispersive optical solitons that are governed by the generalized sinh–Gordon equation. We successfully construct the new exact double periodic traveling wave solutions of the generalized Sinh– Gordon equation by introducing the binary simplest equation method. The idea introduced in this paper can be applied to other nonlinear evolution equations. Our results show that all rational and simply periodic solutions of the generalized Sinh–Gordon equation is solitary wave solutions and simpler than other methods.

Phenomena in physics and other fields are often described by nonlinear evolution equations. When we want to understand the physical mechanism of phenomena in nature, described by nonlinear evolution equations, exact solutions for the nonlinear evolution equations have to be explored. Nonlinear evolution equations are special classes of crucial mathematical model to describe many nonlinear physical phenomena. Traveling wave solutions of these equations play an important role in nonlinear science, for these solutions may well reflect inner aspects of nonlinear problems and can be easily used in further applications. One of the great interests is the problem of finding exact soliton solutions of the integrable nonlinear models. Based on these exact solutions directly, we can accurately analyze the properties of propagating soliton pulses in nonlinear physical systems. This area of study has been put to good use for the past few decades. In the recent years, seeking exact solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations (NLPDEs) is of great significance, since the nonlinear complex physical phenomena related to the NLPDEs are involved in many fields from physics, mechanics, biology, chemistry and engineering. To this aim, a vast variety of powerful and direct methods for finding the exact significant solutions of NLPDEs though it is rather difficult have been derived. Some of the most important methods are tanhextended tanh method [6-8], solitary wave ansatze method [9–11], tanh method [12,13], multiple expfunction method [14], Kudryashov method [15–16], Hirota’s direct method [17,18], transformed rational function method [19] and others [20]. They produce many kinds of exact solutions to a given evolution equations. However, their application and implementation are not direct and easy. Conversely, the tanh-function method, the homogeneous balance method, the Jacobi elliptic function expansion method, the sub-ODE method, the F-expansion method, the Sine–Cosine function method, the Exp-function method, the projective Riccati equation method, the simplest equation method etc. are modern algebraically methods. They are directly used to produce many kinds of exact solutions for a given NLEEs and systematically implemented by computer algebra system. Moreover these methods are favored by applied researchers. The layout of this paper is as follows: in Sect. 2, we briefly introduce the binary simplest equation method. In Section 3, we construct a series of abundant double periodic exact travelling wave solutions of generalized sinh–Gordon equation. A summary is given in the final section 4.

2. The binary simplest equation method In this section we introduce the binary simplest equation method. For this aim at first we consider the nonlinear partial differential equation (f (u ),u x ,u t ,u xx ,u tt ,u xt ,...)  0, (1)

4. Conclusions:

In summary, we have developed successfully introduce the binary simplest equation method and obtained wider classes of exact traveling wave solutions for the generalized sinh–Gordon equation by using this binary method. Compared with the solutions obtained by using other methods, we obtained new exact solutions for equation (11).This implies that our method is more powerful and effective in finding the exact solutions of NLEEs in mathematical physics. We hope this method can be more effectively used to solve many nonlinear partial differential equations in applied mathematics, engineering and mathematical physics.
