OF GUEST EDITOR D.V. FERENS

Daniel V. Ferens is an associate professor of systems management at the Air Force Institute of Technology in Dayton, OH, U.S.A. He teaches several courses on the subject of computer software management, including software parametric cost estimating. Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Ferens served for over five years as a lead parametric cost analyst at

the Air Force Avionics Laboratory. He is also a former Air Force officer. Mr. Ferens has been a member of the International Society of Parametric Analysts (ISPA) since its inception in 1979, and was a member of the original ISPA Board of Directors. He is also a referee for ISPA’s professional publication, the Journal of Parametrics. Mr. Ferens has written numerous papers and given numerous oral presentations on the subject of parametric estimating for ISPA and for other national and international organizations. Mr. Ferens possesses a Master Degree in Business Management from the University of Northern Colorado. He also has a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
