T h e p a c k i n ~ c a n w i t h s t a n d u p to 6 0 0 0 ° F in n o n o x i d i s i n g c o n d i t i o n s , 4 5 0 0 p s i s t e a m a n d p H from 0 to 14, e x c e p t for s t r o n g o x i d i s e r s s u c h a s nitric and oleum. M a r l o s a y s t h a t in t h e p a s t in o r d e r to a c h i e v e t h i s level of p r o t e c t i o n , e n d u s e r s h a d to die c u t p a c k i n g , w h i c h b e c a u s e it h a d to b e f o r m e d l o t e a c h valve is m o r e c o s t l y a n d t i m e c o n s u m i n g . The Style 3 9 6 is a n o n - c u s t o m i s e d d e s i g n however, allowing it to be l~tbricated in a n off t h e - s h e l f b u l k manul~mturin K process.
