DISTINGUISHED VETERINARY IMMUNOLOGIST AWARD The American Association of Veterinary Immunologists Distinguished Veterinary Immunologist Award is intended to honor an immunologist for his/her outstanding contributions to veterinary immunology. The award seeks to honor an individual whose contributions in research, education and leadership are widely recognized as significant and important to the understanding of the immunology of domestic animals. The winner of the 1988 Award was Dr. Ron Schultz, who is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Pathobiological Sciences, School of Veterinary Medicine, at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Dr. Schultz has over one hundred scientific publications to his credit and served for several years on the Editorial Advisory Board of 'Veterinary Immunology and Immunopathology'. Congratulations are due to him for this award.
