Building Academic Geriatric Nursing Capacity Call for Applications… Focusing on the need to produce expert academicians, practitioners, and researchers who will lead in the field of geriatric nursing, applications for the second cycle of predoctoral and postdoctoral scholarships in gerontologic nursing are being sought. The Scholars Program offers support at the

level of $50,000 per annum for 2 years to successful candidates commencing no later than September 2002. In addition, applicants who wish to pursue a business degree at a highly ranked institution, anticipating a career focus on management/leadership of health care institutions or organizations

with a sizable geriatric population are also sought. The deadline for receipt of applications is December 7, 2001. This initiative ultimately will enhance the care of elders in our society. To learn more about this unique funding opportunity, visit our Web site at www.nursingworld.org/aan. ■
