The site comprises extensively illustrated product and polymer selection sections, as well as company information and the industries it serves. The company claims that the new navigation system enables visitors to reach their desired page in only three clicks. Alternatively, they can use the in-built search engine.
Turbomachinery meeting The programme for the 28 ,h Turbomachinery Symposium, which is being held in Houston, 12 - 16 September, has now been published. This five day meeting, organised by the Turbomachinery Laboratory, Texas A&M University is aimed at users concerned with maintenance, performance, troubleshooting, operation and purchase of turbomachinery. It comprises a similar format to previous years i.e. short courses, lectures, tutorials, discussion groups and a major exhibition of related products and services. However, for the first time a "user case study" section has been included. The objective of this, is to provide users of turbomachinery and reciprocating compressors with an informal setting to present their success stories/lesson learned.

UK. Heading the table for carcinogens was Associated Octel, which 'released over 4000 tonnes into the air last year. In the dioxins table, British Steel led the way with over 13 000 rag, while Elementis Chromium was top of the toxic waste table, with the release of over 96 000 tonnes. Finally, the acid rain gases table was led by National Power, which released 122 0010 tonnes of SO2 and 65 000 of NOx in 1998. The Factory Watch campaign, which aims to reduce industrial pollution through this naming and shaming tactic, has not always gone according to plan. All the figures featured in the league tables were based on and verified by the Environment Agency. However, FOE was informed that the ICI plant that was supposed to have released 290 tonnes of the known carcinogen, trichloroethylene, which made it ninth in the table, had actually only released 290 kg.
