This position offers an excellent opportunity to established 15person Mayo-affiliated medical clinic in this town of'about 11,000 with a 77-bed hospital and a service population of 45,000. This opportunity allows practice autonomy, a wide spectrum of general surgery, including some gynecological and orthopedic expertise, and excellent salary and benefits.

ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR COLORECTAL CANCER The University of Minnesota Cancer Center, in collaboration with the Department of Surgery and the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery, is establishing a new tenure track assistant professor or full tenure associate professor faculty position in colorectal cancer. The chosen individual will be responsible for providing leadership to the University' s interdisciplinary program for the prevention, detection and treatment of colorectal cancer. The individual will be expected to develop a strong basic science research program in colorectal cancer leading to external funding and to develop protocols and enhance involvement in clinical trials of therapy for colorectal cancer and its complications. Candidates must have a medical degree, experience with current diagnostic and therapeutic techniques important to colorectal surgical oncology, be board certified in surgery and colon and rectal surgery, and have a proven record of clinical and basic science high quality research a~s demonstrated by publication of papers in peer reviewed journals. Strong emphasis will be placed upon the candidate's ability to interact with other members of the multi disciplinary group including members of the Cancer Center, the Department of Surgery, the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery, the Division of Gastroenterology, the Radiation Therapy Department, the School of Public health, and the Institute of Human Genetics.
