Cecil Ne$ U900---19761 Cecil Neff died on ,Jan. 2, 19’76, after suffering a severe stroke on Dec. 19, 1975. He practiced in his office at 3019 I’lmerson St., San Diego, California, until December 17, 1975. Dr. Neff was born in San Diego, California, on Aug. 20, 1900. He studied engineering at the University of California at Berkeley before entering dental school. He graduated from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1926. He practiced general dentistry in San Diego before beginning his practice of more than 40 years in orthodontics. He was a life member of the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. He was a member of the San Diego County Dental Society, having served as secretary from 1952 to 195-1 and as president in 1957-58. He was also a member of the american Association of Orthodontists and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. He was president of the PCS0 in 1963. He was also president of the Edward H. Angle Southern California Orthodontic Society in 1949-50 and a member of the Charles H. Tweed Foundation for Orthodontic Research. He belonged to the Century Club of USC and was a life member of the San Diego Yacht Club. His avocation of photography enabled him to serve as staff photographer of the San Diego County Dental Society for 10 years. He wrote several articles for orthodontic journals. He was well known for his expertise in writing and updating the by-laws for the professional organizations to which he belonged. He is survived by his wife, Thelma; his sister, Eunice Holmes; and two nephews.

Richard Ball (19324976) Richard Ball died of a massive heart attack on Sept. 16, 1976. He had been practicing in Laurel, Mississippi, for 10 months at the time of his death. Following his graduation from Tqvola University Dental School in New Orleans, Dr. Ball practiced in Jackson, Mississippi, and later was the full-time dentist at the Ellisville State School in Ellisville, Mississippi. In 1973 he graduated from the University of Alabama Orthodontic Program and immediately began his association with Dr. John Faust in Hattiesburg and Tlaurel, Mississippi. This association continued for 2 years. Dr. Ball moved to Laurel, Mississippi, approximately 1 year ago and continued that portion of the practice on a solo basis. Dr. Ball is survived by his wife, two daughters, and two sons.
