Letter to the Editor Celebrating Epilepsy & Behavior achievements
To the Editor Let us celebrate the achievements of Epilepsy & Behavior. Epilepsy ranks among the most common chronic brain disorders. The history of epilepsy and its treatments date back at least four millennia [1]. Despite significant and revolutionary achievements in understanding the brain and its disorders, particularly during the past decades, many aspects of epilepsy are still unknown. Even the definition of epilepsy is evolving with the passage of time as we gain more knowledge and insight about the disorder. In the path to discover the brain and its disorders, including epilepsy, organized efforts to improve our knowledge in a specialized manner seem very necessary. One way of organizing the efforts, including scientific investigations, is having dedicated journals devoted to rapid dissemination of the most current information available on various aspects of epilepsy. Epilepsy & Behavior is one of the fastest-growing international journals “devoted to the rapid dissemination of the most current information available on the behavioral aspects of seizures and epilepsy”, as stated in its aims. The journal is now 15 years old, and in the past 15 years, it has had significant achievements in doing the tasks it was designed for. This journal has a 5-year impact factor of 2.106 that shows its high quality and reliability for the investigators and scientists in the field and its significant role in advancing knowledge about

Hereby, as an author and medical researcher, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Elsevier, to the Editor-in-Chief, and to all the people who have been working hard to provide this great and unique platform to rapidly disseminate the most current information in the field. Undoubtedly, an eye to their great achievements can help guide others. Conflict of interest The author declares that there are no conflicts of interest.
