Pall donates filtration technology to help Haiti
A
Pall Aria water filtration system is providing clean DRINKING WATER TO RESIDENTS OF Grande-Saline, a remote village in northwest Haiti. The filtration system, donated by Pall Corp as part of SUNY Broome’s Health for Haiti program, has been operating since March. The installed system is a smaller version of the robust Pall Aria membrane systems used in municipal water treatment plants around the world. It draws up to 22 gallons of river water per minute, filtering out harmful bacteria and pathogens, including cholera and giardia. “Clean water is basic and fundamental for human health,” said Jennifer Musa, Biology professor at SUNY Broome and co-instructor of the Health for Haiti program. “It’s easy for those of us who enjoy clean water every day to take it for granted, but there are many in our global community who do not have access to safe water. This collaboration has enabled us to provide a community in Haiti with access to clean, safe water. Not only has it benefited the people in Haiti, it has also provided a life-changing experience for our students.” “The launch of this Pall Aria system in Haiti is an extremely significant achievement,” said Jodi Tate, vice president

he common shares of diversified industrial and manufacturing technology company Cemtrex Inc have started trading on the .!3$!1 #APITAL -ARKETS UNDER A new CETX symbol. Cemtrex, parent company of Griffin Filter, was previously listed on the OTC. Earlier this year, the company implemented a 1 for 6 reverse stock split of its common stock in preparation for the uplisting (see Filtration Industry Analyst, April 2015). The company has seen strong growth in recent years reaching over US$47 million in revenue and US$0.39 earnings per share in 2014 up from approximately US$13 million in revenue and US$.04 earnings per share in fiscal 2013. “Cemtrex has had a long journey to get to this point and it is only a result of the hard work and dedication of our employees that we have come this far. Dividends UÊ Donaldson Co Inc’s board of directors has approved a 3% increase to its quarterly cash dividend and authorised a new share repurchase program. A quarterly cash dividend of US$0.17 per share will be paid on 2 July 2015 to shareholders of record on 16 June 2015. This is Donaldson’s 239th consecutive quarterly cash dividend paid by the company over 59 years. Donaldson, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, is also increasing the top-end of its targeted payout ratio from 40% to 45%. The company now expects its long-term dividend payout will be 35–45% of the average of its three-year trailing earnings per share. “Our priorities for capital deployment, including investing in support of our Strategic Growth Plan while also returning cash to our shareholders through dividends and share repurchase, remain critical to our success over time,” said Tod Carpenter, Donaldson’s CEO.
