SOCIETY GREETINGS CARDS Following a note in the Bulletin in October 1979, inviting Members to submit drawings, the Foray Committee has chosen the following high quality colour designs by Mrs R. Cowell:-
Agaricus macrosporus, Flammulina velutipes, Lactarius torminosus, Tylopilus felleus. This choice has been approved by Council, and the cards will be on sale, probably at around 7Sp per pack of 10, in the Autumn. Full details will appear in the October Bulletin. It is also likely that a new set of bookplates will be available. R.J. Bevan, Foray Secretary
CERAMIC SCULPTURES OF FUNGI Ted Pitman, of The Old Granary Craft Workshops, Bank St., Bishop's Waltham, Hants., is a craftsman who specialises in hand-built porcelain. His particular theme at present is the reproduction of toadstools, mushrooms and other fungi. The work is hand modelled: no moulding or casting is used and therefore each piece is unique. In November 1980 an exhibition of his work was accepted for the Annual Exhibition of the Royal Society of Miniaturists.
