Chillers Process Chiller Systems Tampa, F/a. Process Chiller Systems announces their new line of compact, energy-efficient Rite-Temp series of chillers, which are designed to provide a constant supply of chilled, recirculated water to maintain desired solution temperature control, prevent overheating, and eliminate the discharge of clean cooling water to the sewer. Some models incorporate up to four small compressors instead of a single large compressor. If any compressor fails, it will

not affect the remaining compressors. The 16- and 20-ton chillers require only 4% ft X 5 ft of floor space. Small units require even less space. Air and water-cooled condensers are available. Circle 410 on the reader service card

Spraybooth Air Velocity Indicator Omega Productive Services Inc. Rochester Hi//s, Mich. The Dynamic Air Velocity Indicator (DAVI) is utilized for measuring spraybooth air velocity around a sprayed part as it passes through the entire length of a spraybooth. Until now, spraybooth airflow has been measured in an empty booth with hot wire anemometers, temperam probes, and humidity probes. Although these measurements are precise and repeatable with proper calibration procedures, they do not represent true Mow. As a part passes through a spraybooth, air velocities

typically increase at a 1.5: 1 ratio compared to an empty booth. Airflow shifts can upset a delicately balanced booth as parts pass through. DAVI utilizes two hot wire anemometers repeatable to =l=5 fpm on each side of a part, along with temperature and humidity probes to give a spraybooth an airflow signature as a product passes through. Running an airflow signature periodically and comparing it to a target signature is a valuable tool for keeping a spraybooth running at top efficiency. Circle 411 on the reader service card
