Honda Aircraft Company builds new headquarters

Chinese association supports COMPOSITES & RP ASIA 2007

HONDA AIRCRAFT Company Inc is establishing its world headquarters in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA. A plant will be built next to the new facility for manufacturing the HondaJet, a light jet plane with an all composite fuselage. Construction begins immediately on a new HQ at Piedmont Triad International (PTI) airport, which will incorporate 68 000 ft2 of office space and a 147 000 ft2 aircraft hangar. The work is scheduled for completion in November 2007. HondaJet research, product engineering, sales and marketing, and service support will operate from the new headquarters. It

PPG and Devold form North American joint venture PPG INDUSTRIES, headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, and Norwegian company Devold AMT AS are forming a 50-50 joint venture. PPG-Devold LLC will manufacture glass reinforced multiaxial and unidirectional fabrics used in turbine blades for the North American wind energy market. As part of the joint venture agreement, stitched reinforcement fibreglass production lines will be constructed at PPG’s fibreglass plant in Shelby, North Carolina. Heading up the joint venture will be Kåre Dybvik as chief executive officer and Herbert
