Not all of the indications for operations wouId be bIindIy accepted in this country but the reverse wouId aIso be the case were the book written in this country. It is we11 however to have avaiIabIe this book giving the German standpoint of today. AI1 the references in the bibIiography are to German Iiterature. This volume is to be folIowed by another, treating of the “specia1” organs and conditions.
