Sir: A t this time, appointments in the Den tal Corps, Arm y of the United States, are open to qualified dentists not over 37 years of age and to all those who have been placed in Class 1 -A by their local induction boards. Upon request, application blanks will be furnished to all those who fall into either of these categories, by the Dental Service, Office of the Surgeon General, Washington, D . C. (Signed) R . C . From this letter, it m ay be seen that commissions in the D ental Corps, A rm y of the United States, are available not only to those men who are classified in Class 1 -A by the Lo cal Selective Service Board, but also to an y m an under the age o f 37 who is physically and profes sionally qualified, regardless o f his classification by the L o cal Selective Service Board. T o make application fo r a commis sion, a letter should be addressed to the D ental Service, Office o f the Surgeon General, United States A rm y, W ashing ton, D . C . In this letter o f application, the applicant should be careful to state his age, school o f graduation and year o f graduation.
