hlstrom’s Louveira plant in Brazil has flooded after a thunderstorm. The Louveira plant, which produces transportation filtration material, is located approximately 100 kms from Sao Paolo in southeastern Brazil, an area that has been hit by severe floods and mudslides following torrential rain. Production has been stopped at the facility and Ahlstrom has already started the cleanup process.

larcor Inc has bought one of its filtration media suppliers TransWeb LLC. Founded in 1996 and based in Vineland, New Jersey, TransWeb manufactures and supplies media used in a variety of end-market applications, including respirators and heating, ventilation and air conditioning filters. Clarcor chairman and CEO Norm Johnson said: “We have been interested in taking an ownership position in TransWeb for some time, and were grateful when the opportunity to do so on attractive terms presented itself.” “We believe that TransWeb adds significantly to our technological capabilities and offers outstanding opportunities to enhance the product offerings of many of our filtration operating companies.
