Dr. Drelich was a member of the American Dental Association, the American Society of Orthodontists, the Angle Society (Eastern Component), Illinois Alumni Society, Pennsylvania Alumni, Hudson County Dental Society, and He was a member of the Jewish War the Alpha Omega dental fraternity. Veterans and the B’nai B ‘irth. Dr. Drelich is survived by his wife, Rita ; a daughter, Eva Deborah, 2l/r, years ; a son, Lawrence, 10 months ; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Drelich ; a sister, Mrs. Doris Seigman; and a brother, Arthur. Clayton M. McCauley 1876-1957 LAYTON M. MC CAULEY died in Palm Springs, California, on May 7, 1957. He was born in Hustberg, Tennessee, on Nov. 15, 1876. Dr. McCauley studied science and higher mathematics at Valparaiso TJniversity and was graduated in 1898. In 1898 and 1899 he taught higher mathematics and physiology in Crookston, Minnesota. lJpon his graduation from the University of Illinois in 1901, he was retained as a member of the dental faculty and entered the American College of Medicine and Surgery, Hospital Square, in Chicago. Hc practiced dentistry in Chicago from 1901 to 1904 and served as adjunct professor of operative techniques at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry from 1902 to 1904. He left Chicago in 1905 and moved to Texas; in 1912 he limited his Dallas He moved to Los Angeles in 1921 practice to orthodontics and periodontics. Upon his retirement in 1952, hc and limited his practice to orthodontics. moved to Palm Springs. In the early days of his practice Dr. McCauley assisted Dr. G. V. Black with research in dental amalgam materials. Later, from 1947 to 1953, he continued this research. Dr. McCauley served as dental examiner for the Army in the Dallas region in World War I and was commissioned a major. He was a member of the American Dental Association, the Southern California State Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Nebraska State Dental Association (honorary), the Texas State Dental Association, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He served as president of the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners in 1912, of the Texas State Dental Associa.tion in 1915, of the National Board of Dental Examiners in 1917, and of the Pacific Coast Society of Ort,hodontists in 1937.

714 Dr. McCauley was also active in civic affairs. In 1908 he was a delegate to the National Democratic Convent,ion in Denver. He was a co-organizer and member of the first board of directors of the &public National Bank in Dallas. He belonged to Al Malaikah Temple (Shrine) and was a membrl~ of that ROI;I~J Club for twenty years. He married Blanche Kamsey in Dallas, Texas, on Oct. 11, 1899. In his will, Dr. McCauley left $%,OOO.OO to set up a loan fund for scniol students at the School of Dentistry, College of Medical E\-angelists, Loma Ilinda, California.
