HunterLab introduces the ColorQuest XE color measurement spectrophotometer for the coating industry. ColorQuest XE provides precision and reliability at an affordable price. It measures coating color for quality control and color formulation applications. The spectrophotometer features diffuse/So geometry for the reflectance measurement of coatings. The instrument uses double-beam optics and a long-life xenon lamp that virtually eliminates lamp replacement. The system significantly reduces the time required to manually clean a powder spray system. Positioning of the powder recovery system at the ends of the booth minimize air turbulence in the spray zone for improved coating efficiency. The streamlined canopy design has fewer seams to minimize corners and gaps where powder can collect during production. The booth also features an optional automated floor sweeper that operates during production, eliminating the traditional, timeconsuming "broom and squeegee" cleaning method.
