PRODUCT INFORMATION COLOUB MATCBING
A colour matching booth, trade-named The Judge, is being marketed by the Macbeth Div. of Kollmorgan Corp., PO Box 230, Newburgh, NY. It provides a controlled environment for colour matching, colour quality and uniformity evaluation, and testing metamerism (the phenomenon in which colours change under different lighting conditions). The booth contains five different light sources to create artificial daylight, north sky, noon sky, cool white, fluorescent, incandescent, and UV light.
DUSTLESS ZINC STEARATE
Synthetic Products Co., Cleveland, Ohio, has developed a new process for the manufacture of zinc stearate in dustless, prilled form. At the moment, zinc stearate is only commercially available in powder or flake form.
GLASS PIBRE CAPACITY INCREASE
Bayer is increasing glass fibre capacity at its Antwerp plant. Scheduled to come on stream in the first half of 1991, the new production plant will utilise the know-how of Nito Boseki company in Japan.
IN BELGIUM
The E-glass fibres produced in Antwerp, (cakes, rovings, chopped strands and milled fibres,)are used for plastics reinforcement, with particular emphasis on the thermoplastics and polyurethanes sectors.
COMPO!SITESGROUP FOR 3M CO.
An aerospace group has been formed by the prepregs offered by the company are based resins. These resin systems are supported E glass, S-glass, aramid and carbon, in directions and woven configurations.

Published by: Technomic Publishing Co. Inc., 851 New Holland $49.00. 280 pages. Ave., Box 3535, Lancaster, PA 17604.
This publication, edited by J. Margolis Routlege, covers a) those plastics rendered conductive by the addition of conductive fillers, and b) those polymers which are intrinsically conductive. It has been written by technical experts in supplier and applications companies and covers the present stateof-the-art in producing both classes of conductive materials. The field of inherently conductive polymers'is said to be primarily developmental at the present time but will be competing more and more with conventional "conductive plastics" in the future.
