Comments on the Workshop from the Viziers The scale of the effort required to build insmunents with apertures of 1041an2sr is much greater than usually associated with cosmic my projects: indeed it approaches the effort required to construct and operate one of the large detectors found at particle accelerators. The organisers therefore invited four French scientists with experience in the accelerator field to attend the workshop and to report their impressions as part of a mundtable discussion of ~ e f ~ day.
