Call for Papers
Community impact of the World Trade Center destruction Preventive Medicine invites researchers to submit manuscripts on the health consequences of the destruction of the twin towers of the World Trade Center on September 11 2001. We are particularly interested to receive data on the short and long-term consequences of the physical and psychological health of the exposed communities, including local workers and residents of all ages, as well as rescue/recovery workers. The deadline for submissions is April 31, 2011.
The guidelines for authors can be found at http://www.elsevier.com/ wps/find/journaldescription.cws_home/622934/authorinstructions. Papers or commentaries should be 2500 words or less, except if they describe intervention trials or are literature reviews, in which case they can be up to 3500 words. All submitted papers deemed appropriate for the journal will be peer-reviewed. Preliminary inquiries regarding suitability of a specific manuscript idea are welcome and may be addressed to Dr. Steven D. Stellman at
