A modelling tool designed for specialists in the composite m a t e r i a l s field h a s b e e n launched by French software company Compiegne Science I n d u s t r i e (CSI) of Compiegne. According to CSI, Composic can handle and analyse every step in a material's manufacturing process: monodirectional, tissues, complex layers or sandwiches, c o a t i n g , coiling or weaving. In addition, using Composic's materials database, the user can create a reproduction during the modelling stage of each step in the manufacturing process.
