STOP PRESS Users who run IBM’s AS/400 with PC support have been warned that they may be vulnerable to viruses that have, until now, been confined to PCs. Software house Cobweb Communications discovered that the Jerusalem virus had infected its AS/400 DOS files on Friday 13, despite the presence of a package designed to prevent viruses. The virus had come from a golf game on a PC. Cobweb’s managing director, Peter Webb, confirmed that IBM had been told about the problem but had not yet replied. Ian Henderson, chairman of the AS/400 users group, added, “It is fair/y common for AS/400 users to use PC support and a lot of people will be looking very carefu//y at their systems. ”
