Congratulations to Christine M. Olson, Winner of the JNEB Best Article Award 2006 The Society for Nutrition Education is pleased to recognize Christine M. Olson, PhD, RD, (Figure 1) as the recipient of this year’s Best Article Award. Dr. Olson received a plaque and a check from SNE for $1,000 in recognition of Excellence in Communication at the 2006 Annual SNE Conference held this July in San Francisco. The best paper is selected annually using a two-stage process that involves the Journal Committee and the Board of Editors. Consistent criteria are used across both phases of the process with the Board of Editors voting anonymously on the final list of papers identified by the Journal
Committee. This year’s competition was based on all articles published in Volume 37, January-December, 2005. Dr. Olson is a professor of nutrition with the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University. Her article, “Tracking of Food Choices across the Transition to Motherhood,” appeared in the May-June, 2005 issue of the Journal.
