Keynote-Managing Yoursev, Influencing Others
T
erry L. Paulson, PhD, president of Paulson & Associates, Agoura Hills, Calif, will speak about managing yourself and influencing others at Opening Session, Sunday, Feb 28, at 2 PM. Dr Paulson is a psychologist, a management consultant, and a nationally recognized speaker and author on the topic of self-rnotivation. His presentation at Congress this year will describe how the perioperative nurse can be a part of creating the future by holding onto the gifts and skills of the Past and embracing the opportunities of the future. Dr Padson believes that static organizations and stale professionals cannot survive the competitive market that health care faces today. Each member of the team must be able to perform in a practice setting of constant change. The difficulty for team members is to keep their sanity, handle frustrations and conflict, and avoid burnout. Noted for his humor and remembered for his well-received program at the 1987 AORN Congress in Atlanta, Dr Paulson promises an interesting keynote address.
