The new homepage features improved graphics and interactivity, with more extensive coverage of FMC Corporation's financial performance, environmental initiatives and career opportunities. Chicago-based FMC Corporation operates in four main segments: industrial chemicals; performance chemicals; machinery and equipment; and defence systems. The broad product range includes pumps, valves and seals.

The motors will be used in a 7000 m 3 ethylene ship currently being built in Italy for Cispa Gas. As the ship will operate worldwide, ABB Motors' global service network was an important factor in the selection process. • GEC Alsthom has won an order worth an estimated £25 million for the renovation of three pumping stations for the Egyptian Ministry of Public Works and Water Resources. The pumping stations are located at E1 Nasr and are used for the continued land development in the Nubarriya region of Egypt. The turnkey project will be managed by GEC Alsthom's Bergeron unit. The order covers the rehabilitation studies for the pumping stations, the dismantling of existing equipment and the supply, transportation, erection and commissioning of all new hydraulic, me-

BW/IP Jeffrey L Zelms, president and chief executive officer of The Doe Run Company, has been named to the board of directors of BW/IP Inc. The Doe Run Company, part of the Renco Group lnc, is engaged in the mining and milling of lead, copper, zinc and silver-bearing ores. The company is the largest integrated producer of lead in North America. The board has also elected Charles F Cargile to the position of corporate controller. GOULDS APPOINTS NINTH DIRECTOR

Jerry H Ballengee has been elected a director of Goulds Pumps Inc. Ballengee is president and chief operating officer of Union Camp Corporation since July 1994. Goulds now has nine directors.
