Authors are solely responsible for the factual accuracy of their papers. All papers will be read by one or more referees, whose names will not normally be disclosed to authors. On acceptance for publication papers are subject to editorial amendment. If any tables or illustrations have been published elsewhere, the editors must be informed so that they can obtain the necessary permission from the original publishers. All communications should be expressed in clear and direct English, using the minimum number of words consistent with clarity. Papers in other languages can only be accepted in very exceptional circumstances. A leaflet of instructions to contributors is available on application to the editorial office.
