a b s t r a c t After a careful reconsideration of the article (S. M. Hosseini, M. M. Papari, J. Moghadasi, Journal of Molecular Liquids, 174 (2012) 52–57), several typos are appearing in some of the key equations of this article which would not allow the readers to utilize the underlying equation of state for the calculation of volumetric properties of pure ionic liquids without any problem. Regarding this, Erratum is presented to fix this issue. © 2019 Published by Elsevier B.V.

1. Introduction After a careful reconsideration of Ref. [1] article, it has been figured out some typos have been accrued in writing of the relevant equations to the hard-sphere chain (HSC) compression factor for the reference model, Eq. (2) and the segment packing fraction of Yukawa hardsphere chains, Eq. (4). Since those typos were appearing in the key equations of this article, they would cause significant errors in the calculation of densities and isothermal compressibilities of studied pure ionic liquids using the perturbed hard-sphere chain equation of state. Also, the term “Tr” appearing in Eq. (3) of that article has been defined nowhere, which would not allow the readers to utilize the underlying equation of state without any problem. Regarding this, the present Erratum aims to fix this issue. 2. Erratum 1. In Eq. (2) of Ref. [1], an uncorrected expression has been introduced to the HSC model as:

2. In Eq. (4) of Ref. [1], an uncorrected equation has been presented for the segment packing fraction as:
